South Africa, 2021. One of the most violent countries in the world. Everyday security personnel are being put under more and more duress and stress.
To stay alive against this requires more than just training, more than just mindset, more than only kit. It requires something more – it requires Operators.
You can now send your security personnel for specialist training to ensure they can perform at their peak as operators in your company thus delivering a more effective service and also being more confident in their fight against crime.
What is the program all about?
The complete program follows 3 levels of training – and spread over 6 days of training on-site in Pretoria. The program is to ensure your top reaction officers are skilled to operator status, thereby ensuring better qualified personnel for you to offer a better service to your customers.
At the head of training of Lone Operator is Leo Prinsloo, former SA Police Task Force member and owner of The Edge Training Academy. Fortis will expose you to instructors like an ex 3 para sniper UK Army and many others to ensure you get top quality instruction from top-quality instructors.
You will learn and cover the following topics
Firearm Fundamentals, Handgun, Carbine and Shotgun tactical, Knife Defence, Marksmanship (sniper training), Team Tactics, Tactical Medical, Legal Aspects, Night patrols, Movement & Camouflage, Tactical Abseiling, and more …. and more team tactics.
To apply you will need to be medically fit enough to do exercise and to be able to pass a basic army fitness test.
Cost and Dates
The course is run over 2 x 3 day sessions in Pretoria.
Session 1 – 3, 4, 5 May 2021
Session 2 – 7, 8, 9 June 2021
Applicants have to attend all 6 full days and pass all qualifying criteria in order to pass the course successfully.
The total cost for the course is R9600 pp (ex VAT)
This includes ammo, use of shotgun and carbine and range fees
This excludes accommodation, food, drink and transport to and from the venue.
Fortis is a registered dealer with most suppliers and should any kit be required, it can be acquired through us.
Do expect professional instructors with legit backgrounds, teaching you in a professional manner. We are looking for self-motivated, driven individuals with a hunger to learn.

The attendee must have either his/her own licensed handgun (we supply 9mm ammo).
Or have a handgun licensed to the security company (employer).
The attendee must be a proficient shooter and not a novice shooter. You must have a good understanding of the fundamentals of shooting and handling and safety of firearms.
